Mr. Gilbride is a civil and mining engineer with 25 years of consulting engineering experience on projects worldwide. He holds a B.S. (summa cum laude) in civil engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA, and an M.S. in mining engineering from the Mackay School of Mines, University of Nevada, Reno.
Mr. Gilbride was formerly Principal and Vice President of Agapito Associates, Inc. (AAI), where he served on the Board of Directors. In addition to his engineering consultancy within the mining industry, Mr. Gilbride managed AAI’s Field Services Division focused on specialty drilling and instrumentation. After more than two decades, Mr. Gilbride left AAI to head DA Smith Drilling Company. Mr. Gilbride, along with Mr. Shaffer, spearheaded the effort to merge AAI Field Services into DA Smith in 2020.
Together, Messrs. Gilbride and Shaffer have formed DA Smith into a diversified scientific drilling company serving the heavy civil and mining industries across North America.
